Standing Committees

Finance Committee 

The finance committee assists the treasurer with the fiscal management of ACDA.

Initiatives Committee 

The initiatives committee assists the vice president with implementing new initiatives for ACDA.

Nominating Committee (2025 election)

The nominating committee is formed every other year to find candidates for board positions and run the elections for ACDA.

Program Committee 

The program committee plans and executes the biennial conference (even years) and the annual ACDA one-day meeting (odd years).

Local Arrangements Subcommittee 

The local arrangements subcommittee assists the program committee with logistics related to the biennial conference.

Audrey Newcomer Scholarship Committee 

The Newcomer Scholarship Committee advertises and selects the winner of the Newcomer Scholarship, awarded in odd years for a member to receive financial assistance with a professional development opportunity.

Ad hoc Committees

Communications Committee 

The communications committee oversees the management of the ACDA website and social media.

Handbook/Editing Committee 

The handbook/editing committee exists to create a “how to” guide for board members and other officers of the organization

Native American Boarding School Committee 

The Native American Boarding School committee exists to help provide ACDA members with best practices and guidance surrounding the records of Native American Boarding Schools operated by dioceses and religious orders.

Shared Resources Committee 

The shared resources committee is currently seeking to build a shared finding aid repository for use by ACDA members.
